The THON team out did itself this year by raising 71,000 dollars for kids with cancer. Penn State Fayette raised the most money of all the satellite campuses bringing home the 1st place award once again.
Not bad for being in one of the poorest counties in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Even with a weak economy, it just goes to show there are still many giving and caring people in the world. What a refreshing thought with all the bad news our media likes to daily share with us. May the fruits of our labor be used to help the many families involved with the Four Diamonds Fund in their times of need while their children so persistently fight their ongoing battle against cancer. And for the children whom lost their battle, may their families find a sense of peace. Thanks to all who unselfishly gave of themselves to help others.
